1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Unhand application ("the app", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Unhand is a behavioral awareness tool that uses wearable sensor data (including motion and heart rate) and on-device machine learning to help users identify and reduce unwanted habitual behaviors (such as hair pulling, skin picking, nail biting, or similar repetitive behaviors).

Important: Unhand is not a medical device, is not FDA-cleared, and is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for concerns about behavioral or mental health conditions.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use this app.
• If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
• By using the app, you represent that you meet the above requirements.

4. Account Registration

• You may create an account using an email address and password or via Google Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately at info@ruslancer.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Premium Subscription

5.1 Free Tier

The free tier allows access to core features including one active habit and basic detection.

5.2 Premium Subscription

Premium features (unlimited habits, full analytics) are available through a paid subscription managed by:

• Google Play Billing (Android)
• Apple App Store (iOS)

Subscription pricing and renewal terms are displayed in the app prior to purchase.

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the respective platform (Google Play or Apple App Store) according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your platform account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with the app's servers, services, or infrastructure
• Use the app to collect data about other individuals without their consent
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, source code, and trademarks within Unhand are the exclusive property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app without express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF DETECTION
• UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
• SUITABILITY FOR ANY MEDICAL OR THERAPEUTIC PURPOSE

We do not guarantee that the app will successfully detect or reduce any behavioral habits. Results vary by individual.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Personal injury or health outcomes resulting from use or reliance on the app
• Accuracy of behavioral detection

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Medical Disclaimer

Unhand is designed as a self-improvement and awareness tool only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or mental health condition.

If you are experiencing distress related to repetitive behaviors (such as Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors / BFRBs), please seek help from a qualified mental health professional. Resources include:

11. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with third-party services (Firebase, Google Play, Apple App Store). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms
• Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
• Is unlawful

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is resident, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, as applicable.
